More and more students from India are availing of the option to go abroad and study as a result of the various opportunities on offer at foreign campuses, and indeed, in foreign countries. It is a major decision and involves a lot of careful consideration, research, and meticulous preparation to turn dreams into reality. The process is often confusing and the students end up souring their dreams due to lack of proper guidance and counselling. The Centre for Foreign Education at APEX offers a complete suite of services for students desirous of studying abroad, including career guidance, course and university selection, test preparation, applications, and pre-departure services, among others.
Counselling
Our trained counsellors shall take you through a systematic process involving
· Identification of needs and desired outcomes
· Identification of Tests that shall be required for the candidate
· Shortlisting Colleges and Universities for application
· Preparation of Action Plan to achieve the desired goals
As the candidates are guided through the action plan over the ensuing weeks and months, they are provided professional counselling, direct interviews with some participating foreign universities, exhaustive information, brochures, forms, and other aids that they would be needing to apply and obtain admission into a program of their choice. The Counselling Services are free for students who apply through us and then proceed to the University they have taken admission in. Only a nominal refundable deposit is charged initially.
Test Preparation 
APEX-CFE offers a portfolio of courses under the banner 'CollegePrep' that include preparation modules for SAT, GMAT, GRE, TOEFL, and IELTS. While the GMAT and GRE are required for postgraduate courses in US Universities, and some universities in other parts of the world, the SAT is required for admission into undergraduate courses in US and some other countries. The TOEFL and IELTS test your familiarity with the English language and are required for admissions and/or visa processing.
The courses are designed in a scientific manner and provide an in-depth review, intensive practice, step-by-step guidance, study materials, score-raising strategies, and practice tests under simulated conditions. Separate courses have been designed for each Test keeping in mind the differing requirements, conditions, and level of the candidates.
Application Assistance
Most foreign universities require an extensive application with a Statement of Purpose, Essays, Performance Records, Activity Records, References, and more. It is often confusing for candidates to complete these forms in a prudent manner to gain admission. Our 'Applications Department' shall advise all students and guide them through this process. This service is offered free in case of applications to Universities represented by us while a Service Charge is collected from candidates requiring assistance for universities not in our portfolio.
Travel & Visa Assistance
We offer complete information and assistance for visa processing and travel arrangements. We guide you through the Visa application forms and the preparation of financial documents in line with the recommendations from the Consulates. Our associates also provide complete travel arrangements, discounts on tickets, foreign exchange, and other travel services that may be needed. Once again, this facility comes free for students going to Universities through us and with a nominal charge for students who have not availed of our Counselling and Admission services.
Bridge Courses
Our Bridge Courses provide excellent review modules designed to prepare you for what lies ahead in the courses you shall undertake at a foreign university. These preparatory modules shall assist you in learning the basics you will need to know before university classes start. Whether it is Introductory Calculus, or Marketing, or Statistics, MS Office, Accounting, etc., you will benefit from the pre-exposure.
Pre-departure Orientation
Travelling to a different country involves a new mind-set, a knowledge of the culture and local systems, and may become an ordeal if you are not prepared adequately. We provide a free pre-departure orientation session for all students going abroad through our Counselling services.
International Qualifications in India
We have options even for students desiring a foreign qualification but unable to travel or stay abroad. Our affiliations with University of Cambridge, UK, Chartered Instittute of Marketing, UK, City & Guilds, UK, among others, allow us to conduct some of their programs right here in India and students may avail of this considerably cheaper option of attaining a foreign qualification while still in India.
