Academy for Professional Excellence (APEX) to train 16,000 Teachers in Mizoram: In a conscientious bid to enhance the existing education system in the State, the Government of Mizoram has initiated a process to train all their teachers. A comprehensive Training Program under the University of Cambridge International Examination (UCIE) has been formulated for State level teachers, by APEX, to increase their proficiency in English and other general teaching skills. The program kickstarted on August 28, 2006, with the first batch of teachers distributed among the centres situated at Aizawl & Lunglei.
